This group is for those of us who live near the Lake Phalen subwatershed (including Wakefield, Frost, and Round Lakes) and upstream subwatersheds of Keller Lake, Gervais Lake, and Kohlman Lake. We want to network with each other in order to coordinate our efforts in keeping our lakes clean!
We use this group to get acquainted, discuss ideas, post events, and share information with each other. Already we have held or planned events like a canoe trip along lakes Keller, Gervais, and Kohlmam, and a picnic at Lake Phalen Pavilion! What efforts have you made in your area to enjoy or improve our waterways? What kind of water stewardship activities would you like to see in your neighborhood?
Our next gathering for the Stewards of the Phalen Chain of Lakes is Thursday May 3 at 6:30. The agenda for the meeting will consist of preparation for upcoming events. Individual teams will be meetings to plan our Clean Up, Restoration, Education & Event activities including our June 2 WaterFest.
